Web Administration Express Setup

When a computer is added, the computer is displayed in the ‘Pending Computers’ list until the Computer Key is used on a local computer and joins the Cloud.

There are 2 functions that can be performed with Pending Computers:

1. Renew Key - If the computer does not connect to the Cloud within 24 hours, the key expires and will not be accepted. Click Renew to reactivate the Computer Key for another 24 hours.

2. Delete Computer - If the computer should no longer be joined to the Cloud, click  and a message to delete the computer displays. Click Yes and the computer is removed.

'Current Computers' have already joined the Cloud. In the Current Computers table, the computer's name is a link to edit the computer record.

1. Click on the computer name to edit. There are 2 elements that can be edited:

   • Computer Name - Changing the computer name may be beneficial if the employee using the computer changes. Changing the name helps identify the connection.

   • Active - When computers join the Cloud, they default to Active. If a computer needs to be removed from the Cloud, make the computer ‘Inactive’  by removing the Active flag. The next time the computer attempts to Sync to the Cloud, the synced database will be inactivated and the user will be prompted to create a new empty database. This is to secure and protect the data from unwanted users.

2. Click OK.

PatientBase users added via the Web Maintenance screen will update to each computer as it syncs with the desired permissions. If users are added, the system requires that at least one user be an Administrator. 

1. Click  to add a user. All fields with an asterisk are required. The password can be edited to whatever the user desires but must contain at least 6 characters.

2. Click Add.

In the Users table, the user’s name is a link to edit the user record. Editing a user updates every computer joined to your Cloud-hosted PatientBase database once syncing occurs locally.

1. Click on the user's name to edit. All fields can be edited.

   • Password - Resetting the password gives you a new default password that can be changed if desired.

   • Administrator - The Administrator flag can be changed.

     Note:  At least one user is required to be an Administrator.

   • Active - All users are Active by default. Inactive users no longer have the ability to log into PatientBase.

2. Click OK.
