TeleHear

TeleHear allows you to make adjustments to your patient's Evolv AI, Livio Edge AI, Livio AI, and Livio hearing aid settings (global and memories, including custom memories created in the Thrive Hearing Control app), remotely via a live audio/video call. Once a remote communication link is established between you and the patient (see "Setting Up TeleHear for a Patient" below), the patient can request assistance. Either you can initiate the fitting via Inspire or the TeleHear Portal or the patient can request a live session via the Thrive Hearing Control app. TeleHear offers the patient convenience and reduces the number of the fine tuning appointments. This feature may not be available in all versions of Inspire.

Once TeleHear is set up, you can also adjust the custom memories your patient created via the Thrive Hearing Control app during a live fitting. See "Adjusting Custom Memories During a Live Fitting" below for more information.

Setting Up TeleHear for a PatientSetting Up TeleHear for a Patient

Before using TeleHear or adjusting custom memories during a live fitting, there are several components that must be set up first by you and your patient. Follow the steps below in the order listed.

Professional

  1. Verify TeleHear is enabled via Configuration Preferences.
  2. Make sure your PC has Internet access.
  3. Either set up your account in the TeleHear Portal or log in.
Note:  The user logged in will be linked to the patient. However, any user can service the patient remotely or adjust their custom memories during a live fitting.
  4. Click Generate Code to generate a code via TeleHear Remote Services or Patient Tools.
Note:  If Inspire was launched from within Noah 4.3 or higher or PatientBase, the code will be linked to the patient and Noah or PatientBase. This connection will automatically launch any remote programming fitting session for the patient via the TeleHear Portal. The code expires in three days and prints on the Device Guide.
Tip:  If not in a fitting, click TeleHear Remote Services via the Tools menu to generate a code.
Tip:  The 'TeleHear Remote Services Patient Consent' can be viewed and/or printed via the Help menu.
